There has been a buzz around camp surrounded the Cubs acquisition of Japanese star outfielder Seiya Suzuki on a five-year, $85 million dollar contract. On Friday we had a chance to see Suzuki in his first Cactus League action at Sloan Park. The game and Suzuki’s first at-bats might best be described as forgettable, a 17 to 1 shellacking by the Colorado Rockies. Suzuki K’d looking in both his at-bats. Hey, one of the great things about spring is, you aren’t concerned with these early at-bats, or the score of the game. Here’s a look at Seiya in photos by John Antonoff.
