Cubs First Workout

By Tim Sheridan
February 12, 2013

Cubs pitchers and catchers were on the field at Fitch Park today for their first official workout of spring training 2013. There are many new faces at Fitch, but easily recognized was Kerry Wood, who is helping out with some coaching during spring training. It feels odd to not see the gregarious persona of Ryan Dempster on the fields after spending most of the last 9 seasons with the Cubs. The drills and workouts look pretty much the same as usual as we start this final spring campaign at Fitch Park.

I’m working on something that I think you will enjoy, it should be ready sometime this week. So I won’t spend much time blogging today about a nice and uneventful day one. It’s just great to start out another season and see the Cubs playing baseball again. If you might be interested in advertising at Boys of Spring, click here.

Some photos I took today. You probably know this, but you can click the photos to view a larger version.
