Fun game yesterday at Sloan Park as the Cubs took down the Rangers to the tune of 9-0. One of the highlights, as you’ve likely seen in video, was Javier Baez’s first bomb of the spring after returning from a forearm contusion. On Friday, Baez was hit by a pitch in the forearm causing the contusion, he was noticeably unhappy at the time. Well, Javy looked healthy and happy yesterday, pounding a Sam Gaviglio pitch to dead CF in the 5th inning. It’s good to see Javy happy!
