Bombs Away

An early day for the players started with the annual photo shoot at 7am, as is custom they wore the home white pinstripes. Highlights of the day included a Brett Jackson and Anthony Rizzo bomb hitting contest during BP in which Rizzo trumped Jackson with a monster blast over the 50 foot high green wall in dead center. Starlin Castro was hit in the arm by a Kerry Wood pitch but only a glancing blow, nothing serious – thank goodness. The guys finished up the day with another round of the bunting tournament wherein Manager Dale Sveum knocked Kerry Wood out of the competition.
