Cubs pitchers and catchers are not due to report yet, but that doesn’t mean there isn’t activity at Fitch Park. During the past month I have been hanging out watching some of the younger Cubs minor league guys at Camp Bussy. However, it hasn’t been only the minor league guys, as Jeff Samardzija, James Russell, Steve Clevenger, and others have been working out here on a regular basis. In recent days more of the Cubs 40 man roster, and non-roster invitees are starting to trickle in to Fitch. Here are some of my photos from today.

Barney does look like he has bulked up, in fact a little spare tire around the middle.
Could be in his plan,some extra weight and work it off in ST. Arms also look heavier, all the better to drive the ball.
