Hopefully you caught the game today on WGN, a nice comeback win for the Cubs even if it was against the Angels ‘B’ team. Trout, Hamilton, and Pujols did not make the trip over to Hohokam as the Angels had a split-squad. Going into the bottom of the 6th inning the Cubs were down 5-1, but they scored 6 runs over the final 3 frames to take a 7-6 victory in front of 13,012 sun drenched fans.

Only in spring training do you see a record like the Angels had coming into today’s game – 6-15-4. No, it’s not hockey, the Angels really do have 4 tie games this spring. Since teams only play a max of one extra inning these days, and sometimes not even that, it’s much easier to end up knotted. I remember one game many years ago at old Hohokam that went 12 innings, those days are long gone.

Here’s photos by John Antonoff from today’s game.
