Midweek Matters

The Cubs played in Scottsdale AZ, the past two days, losing to the Giants on Wednesday 7-6 and then beating the Rockies yesterday 8-6. You probably saw the games, or at least video highlights, but there is something special about photographs that capture moments. We have the photos.

MLB has decided to somewhat deaden the baseball this year, but that hasn’t bothered Cubs Joc Pederson who hit his 5th spring HR, two of those coming yesterday against the Rockies. Can you say, man on a mission!

Today is the one-year anniversary of MLB shutting down spring training due to the Covid 19 pandemic. It has been a very strange year since that moment. As I sit here this morning, it feels like there is light at the end of this uncertain tunnel and hopefully the beginning of a new baseball season is part of that renewal process.
