Len Kasper Talks Cubs

The Cubs lost again today and now have twice as many losses as wins with a 5-10 Cactus League record. As I’ve stated many times spring training records don’t mean squat, especially in games like today with no D-Lee, Dome, A-Ram, DeRo, Theriot, or Pie playing. Like some of the Cubs players I didn’t make the journey from Mesa to Surprise today, I had a project to finish and it’s a round trip of over 120 miles from my house.

T.R. Sullivan from MLB.com wrote in today’s Cubs/Rangers game recap: “Alfonso Soriano, expected to be switched to the No. 2 spot in the order, hit a two-run homer in the fifth.” Does he know something we don’t? Turns out we might see Soriano in the 2 spot as soon as Friday with Fukudome batting 5th. Soriano says he’s OK with the move if it helps the team, just don’t ask him to bunt.

As I mentioned yesterday I got hit with a ball during bp, that area has now gone from red to a nice black and blue. Tomorrow the Cubs will be back at Hohokam taking on the Padres with Greg Maddux expected to start against the Cubs, Jason Marquis starts for the home team.

Here is a part of the chat I had with Len Kasper recently, it’s 3 minutes long.
