It’s very exciting to be announcing the Cubs home spring opener at Sloan Park today, but it’s even more exciting to have fans in the ballpark! Here’s to better days ahead. It’s been almost a year (March 11, 2020) since the last Cubs home game (spring training or otherwise) with fans in attendance. It am sooooooo stoked for 1pm today, when I say the words: Ladies and Gentlemen, your 2021 Chicago Cubs!

This is the Cubs 43rd consecutive spring training in Mesa, the longest streak in the Cactus League. What is hard for me to believe, is that I’ve been the Cubs stadium voice for 38 of those 43 years.

Cubs camp has been different this spring due to Covid 19 protocols, with fans having very limited access to watch the team. Thankfully we have our man John Antonoff who has been capturing the action at the Sloan Complex.  See ya at the ballpark ~ Go Cubs!
