Just a quick blog to let you know I haven’t melted into complete oblivion down here in scorching AZ…Heck it’s only going to be 106 degrees today, not the 115 of a couple days ago.
Good to see the Cubs getting things going again, amazing how much easier scoring runs is with a bat like A-Ram’s back in the line-up. Randy Wells has sure been a pleasant surprise. Sori seems to be settling in down at 6. Reed out for a while does suck but hopefully he’ll be back for the stretch run and 3 Central titles in a row.
Got to give a shout and big congratulations to my nephew Connor Sheridan and his Gilbert American Little League team who finished second in the Arizona State Tournament on Tuesday night…they had a great run but came up short in the final game.
In the district tournament Connor tossed a complete game no-hitter, he’s only 11 so I’m not going to contact the Cubs just yet.
Go Cubs!
