President’s Day at the Park

By Tim Sheridan
February 15, 2010

Pretty low key over at Fitch Park this morning as we’re still a few days away from pitchers and catchers actual report day of Wednesday. However new Cub arrivals are filtering in to Fitch, including Koyie Hill who took some bp today.

The highlight of this mornings session was a monster blast during bp by none other than Big Z. I know it’s only batting practice but the shear power of this batted ball was something to see…Carlos hit it over the 30 foot high batters eye in dead center, it’s 400 feet just to that wall. You can see on the last two photos below, the look on Z’s face, then the following photo of where he hit it.

Below are some of my photos I shot this morning…as far as I know BOS is the only place on the internet that is giving you pics of what’s going on right now at Cubs camp…pre-camp if you will. Enjoy – T

Fitch Park has one concession window, not open yet.
