Baseball stuff

Not a great weekend for the Cubs in terms of wins and losses, but it’s spring training, so it doesn’t matter.

Baseball stuff I saw over the weekend (Friday, Saturday, Sunday):

Jake Arrieta’s first return to the mound at Sloan Park since 2017.

Javier Baez ~ El Mago, doing his thing with the leather, just wow!

Former Cubs Manager Joe Maddon, Third base Coach Brian Butterfield, and Strength and Conditioning Coordinator Tim Buss, all now Los Angeles Angels, sharing laughs, hugs, and stories with their former team.

A Cubs game (Sunday vs Angels) that ended after 8 and a half innings in a 1-1 tie, with the home team not batting in the bottom of the 9th. It’s spring 2021, anything goes.

Jason Heyward patrolling RF, like the stellar Gold Glove he is.

Craig Kimbrel, still working on things.

Jorge Soler, still crushing with Royals.

Trevor Williams dealing.

Joc Pederson raking.

Enjoy the photos from John!
