By Tim Sheridan
March 6, 2015

The Cubs opened Cactus League play yesterday by honoring “Mr. Cub” Ernie Banks with a touching pregame video, and moment of silence at Sloan Park. The team appropriately, “played two”, finishing with a split-squad 2-2 tie (9 innings) at Sloan Park, and a 8-6 loss to the Giants in Scottsdale.

Here are photos by John Antonoff from the game in Scottsdale, where some of the Cubs youngsters and prospects were raking, including a grand slam by 2014 first round draft pick Kyle Schwarber on his 22nd birthday.
