The Cubs started workouts with pitchers and catchers today, I took a few photos. However, I didn’t have enough time for my normal shutterbugging (wow, that sounds like an obnoxious paparazzi), because I’ve been public address announcing the Pac 12 – Big 12 Baseball Challenge at Sloan Park. That has meant announcing two games a day yesterday, today, and tomorrow, and a one game come Sunday. While I’ve been limited in my time to hang around our boys of spring and take photos, one guy hasn’t.
John Antonoff, the photographer who has given Boys of Spring some amazing photos over the past several years (especially game action shots) , went up the ladder, scoring the cover of today’s Chicago Sun Times. It’s about time, John’s an amazing photographer, and luckily he will still contribute here at BOS!
As you’ve likely already noticed, the BOS website has changed. Like Wrigley Field we are still a work in progress, but I know you will enjoy it when finished! It’s getting late, and I’m tired. I’m headed to Cubs practice tomorrow morning and then slide over to the Sloan Park stadium field to announce a couple college games. Once the final game is done on Sunday in the Pac 12 – Big 12 Baseball Challenge at Sloan, I’ll be focusing on our favorite team, without distractions!
John’s photos have the BOS watermark, mine are the pics without the watermark.
Go Cubs!

I can’t wait until you’re back to your normal shutterbugging. I don’t know if there’s anything better than the hope of a new season. Pictures of the boys in blue just make me smile from ear to ear. Kind of like that nice snapshot of CJ Edwards!
