Cubs Bomb Away at Muni

In case you didn’t see the Cubs break out the big sticks yesterday in beating the A’s 10-6 in Phoenix, the video highlights are below. They include Junior Lakes’ three bombs, Luis Valbuena going yard twice (each time, back to back with Lake), and a Mike Olt blast.

This was the last game the Cubs would play against the Athletics at Phoenix Municipal Stadium, as the A’s are moving to Mesa and Hohokam Stadium next spring. Phx Muni is a cool older ballpark with a bit of history attached to it, Al Yellon over at Bleed Cubbie Blue has a nice write-up on Muni.

The Cubs play their only night game at Cubs Park tonight, taking on the San Diego Padres.
